Trust Policy

Please Read and Agree to Before Participating in Show n Tell
Let me know you have read and understood by sending me an email to MsRigbys@gmail.com

District Policies
Please read over your district policies before joining Show n Tell and before starting the journey in the Global Learning Community. It is important your school and district will allow the students to participate before starting. Please get permission from your parents and/or guardians of your students before uploading any digital images or videos to the Show n Tell web site. Usually each district has a policy in place for taking pictures for publication in any median.

Digital Imaging and Video Imaging
Sharing your digitals images, in video and pictures, is the main tool used for sharing items in this Global Learning Community. Each teacher/parent is responsible for gaining permission from parents/guardians before uploading. Show n Tell is released from the responsibility of gaining permission.

Discussions
Discussions are used to share in the GL Community and will need permission, as stated above, from parents and/or guardians. Discussions will be kept in a positive wording. Encouragement words are expected because we are writing to children and about them.
If you have nothing nice to contribute, please refrain from replying. Show n Tell is a safe place for students k-6 to share what is important to them.

Copyright Rules
All pictures and videos are the property of the original owner. Do not copy, edit or share any images without the permission from the owner. The owner is identified as the person who uploaded them to the Show n Tell web site. If you are not the owner of the picture/video and have permission to use it, that is acceptable and you do not need a citation, unless you would like to give credit for the image/video.

Sharing and Using
Please do not share any information personal information such as real names, where you live, telephone numbers, home addresses and email addresses. The general location of where you live is OK. An example is, I live in Southern California, and not my actually city.

  1. Like I said with Steve's GLP policies, I think the inclusion of going over their own districts policies on allowing students to participate is a good way in covering yourself for these types of projects.

  2. Hi LeeAnn,
I like that you have the policy broken down into sections. I think the Copyright Rules are especially well written. Under the Sharing and Using section, you may want to be more specefic about what other personal information they may not share like last name, age, school, whatever it may be.

Grammar Fix: under District Policies: "adhere to the before"
