Essential Questions to Consider

Why is money important? What else has value to trade for goods? (Gold and precious gems) Where do mommy and /or daddy get money? How can I earn money for the things I want?

Money takes many forms, like gold and silver in U.S. history Money buys us many things like, food, toys, TV, internet and lunches.

Implications of TEACH Act for Educators

 Implications as a consumer are we more freedom to show and use someone’s materials and make effective educational material possible. (Hannon, 2008) Teachers and students are now able to use copyrighted material in an online classroom for short periods of time and never full length movies or songs. The educators are no longer constrained to using only the TV to show copy righted content.

TEACH Act 2002

Recognizable example of this category of license;

During an online video presentation to a distance learning classroom, the presenter embedded a full length commercial they were going to analyze and/or a full length song of their favorite singer, they would be out of compliance with  TEACH ACT Sect 110 (2).  The act requires the presenter get permission of the creator and singer before showing the presentation through technology.

If the presenter is in a face 2 face classroom, there is more freedom to showcase both the video and listen to the song.
